Nice boat. Welcome to the club. I have a 2006 FWH180 too. Only difference I can see is that mine has the engine cover with seats either side. |

Thanks for all your welcomes - in South Australia the regulations state that the boat is legally able to carry 7 adults, however children under 12 are considered to be 1/2 adults, so the load in the pic is legal.... |

Very nice!! It reminds me of my first boat! Then the wife said, "where do I go..." So now we had to get one with a head! In the U.S., it's wight and the number of people. You are sitting low in the water. |

Nice boat, I don't like putting more than 5 in my 200 Horizon...I think the older boats were over-rated by todays standards because the average person is getting heavier, for sure. |

interesting comment that the boat is sitting low in the water - most comments I have had from owners of other boats on the river where we travel is how high the boat is in the water....most of the Aussie ski boats by comparison are very low in the water - see the pic below of one I saw....of course there are no waves of any significance on the river...... ![]() |

Welcome aboard Peter. There are a number of FW owners in Oz so you're not on your own! Happy to help answer with any questions and share our FW ownership experience. FW make a great boat and you should get years of enjoyment from it. I would have thought Ardy would have chimed in by now as he's in Adelaide and runs on the Murray all the time. Has a H180 as well, but red. For once he's quiet! ![]() |

I agree, it looks high enough in the water compared to many others I have seen over the years. Obviously if the sea conditions are rough, the less people you have on board. The recommendations on the label is for 'calm seas'. ![]() |

Ardy, thanks again for the welcome and advice re bimini - you are obviously very keen about skiing - I must be getting old - a bit late in the year for me! 10-15 years ago we used to ski through winter - when the river is like glass and you have the water to yourself - then get off the ski, straight to the roaring fire and have a couple of ports to warm up the insides...... |

Yep ! pretty keen to go skiing however if I haven't skied by the end of the month, I probably won't until late September. I am getting fussy about when I ski now. If the water isn't perfect and no other boats I usually pass. Most of my skiing is done first thing in the morning before everyone else gets up. Have you had any issues with the high water. Our block is partially underwater at the moment. |
