Post subject:  Should I Buy this 93 Horizon 210 5.8L OMC??
Ok so here goes... I am looking at a 93 Four Winns:

210 Horizon 21'
5.8L OMC W/ OMC Out Drive

Kenwood Stereo/Sony Speakers

Exterior/Hull: 7/10 (Minor fading/scratches and a couple gouges on the side)
Interior: 6/10 (Seats Faded badly but not cracking yet, Engine Cover Torn)

The Bads:
Needs new Heads/Gaskets
Needs new trailer (It has one, but its junky)
Needs New Prop

I know OMC Is Out Of Business so I don't want to get into this project without being able to find parts, I think I'm gonna pass on this one unless some of you think Its not too bad of a project.

I'm a mechanic professionally so rebuilding the motor will only cost me parts.

Low NADA Price is $5200
He Said He Would Take $2000

What do you guys think??

I'd offer him $500 and that would be doing him a favor hauling the junk out of his driveway. $2000 is way too much for a 1993 boat with a blown motor, bad interior, bad trailer. I can craigslist hunt you a early 2000's Horizon with a blown motor I'm pretty sure for $2000.

lol yeah i figured. thats why i said i was gonna pass. If you can find me a good newer one close to california and 2500 price range over 19' ill even pay you a finders fee lol

Agreed, 2k is way to much for that boat. I would think 500 is fair cause you are basically buying a boat haul since hte interior/motor/trailer is junk.

my zip is 95691, california. sorry my laptop crapped out on me so i couldnt get online. Here is a different post that I talked the guy down to 2k. Its in better shape and fires up when you use carb cleaner, so i really do think it is the fuel pump, but yet again OMC is haunting me for parts...
