Hi,
I think I goofed it.. looking for your help.

Mounted 90Amp Battery isolater.. it has 3 terminals.. Alt, Batt1, Batt2..

So, I swung over the 2Gauge wire from the engine to the Alt terminal, added a new wire from Batt1 back to original battery.
Nothing works.. ( ignoring second battery for a second)

Do I actually trace the ALTERNATOR wire and break it out from the 2Ga wire?? I think I've answered my own question, but want confirmation.

Basically I'd leave the 2Ga wire connected directly from battery to starter motor, but I have to find and isolate the alternator feed and route it to the isolater??

You are correct. They only wire that goes to the alt terminal is the alternator charge line. The rest of the original engine harness will go to bat 1 and whatever accessories to bat 2
