Anyone have a bravo 3 out drive on a smaller horizon? I was looking at a sea ray 200 select with 5.0mpi and bravo 3. Is that a good reliable drive for a boat that small? Any extra maintence besides the obvious 2 stainless props that I don't want to damage? Will it be a good drive for Wakeboarding, tubing, and skiing?

Obviously the one major thing wrong with the sea ray is that it isn't four winns, but any reason not to by sea ray or bravo 3 otherwise?

They are very solid drives and that's a heck of a drive on that size boat. Good luck! I just switched from my second Four Winns to a Sea Ray and am in love!

I had an older Sea Ray 200, but with an alpha Drive, The 200 select is a sweet boat, and even better with a BIII, Our last boat had twin BIII drives and they were outstanding. Easier fluid changes than a Volvo DP and just as smooth and reliable. I would not hesitate in choosing that boat / drive combination.

Older Bravo 3s were notorius for galvanic corrosion, but since you probably trailer you shouldn't have the problem.

Also, the 200 select was not introduced until 2004, and any corrosion issues were long since resolved. The BIII was an option on the 200 select, and not too many were sold with it. I would consider that a plus down the road for re-sale.

Yes, thats way they use Al vs zinc for anodes.

I consider a 22-footer on the "small side" but maybe my boat is bigger than the sample you're looking for. I'm a big fan of mine and it has been trouble-free and a great performer for me. GREAT for wakeboarding with good holeshot and ability to hold plane at lower speeds.

My former 200 Horizon had the VP duo prop. Honestly, I wouldn't accept anything less anymore in a boat beit B3 or VP DP. The control and hole shot is just that much better.

Thanks everyone! I am going to check out a 200 select this weekend with 5.0 and b3 ,has tower, board racks, 2 covers and 82 hrs. If its as good as the owner describes and in pictures I will be a new boat owner. I really like the large swim platform and walk thru transom. I know my little ones will be in and out of the water a lot so it will be a good set up. I like to wakeboard and so do some of our friends so sounds like the bravo 3 will be perfect for that too.
