Hey All,

Just found these forums and am a bit stoked about it. :D

I just bought a 2001 Horizon 180LE for the family with the 4.3L V6 and the VP SX outdrive. This is our second boat, we originally had a '98 Stingray 180 with the 3.0L. It wass a good boat, but was too small inside for the fam, too much hassle moving around. The Horizon is a quantum leap forward and everyone loves the interior space so far.

Looking forward to picking up some good ideas from fellow "Four Winns" ers.

Welcome to the forum! There are a few of us SoCal folks on here - where do you do your boating?

Make sure you get some pictures of you boat posted - people will start to heckel you if you dont!! There are some threads on how to post pics - do a search and you should be able to find them.

Erik

Thank You! :P

At the moment we've just been going to Castaic Lake on sort of a "Shakedown" tour. We have friends that have a place in Havasu so we go there a few times during the summer.

Haven't taken many pics of the boat yet, but here she is;

Welcome to the Four Winns family. Looks like a nice boat and I'm sure you will be happy with it. Lots of good info on the forum and has been helpful to me. Left SoCal for NorCal a few years ago lots better boating in the northern end of the state.

If you haven't already been to Lake Mohave, you should check that out also. I prefer it to Havasu, but it really depends on what type of scene you like.....

Haven't tried Lake Mojave yet. Honestly, the only reason we went to Havasu is that we got free room and board. Havasu is nice, but I can see it getting crazy on big weekends.

I think my family is getting into the whole "beaching" thing, the lake seems perfect for that.
