Post subject: | Depth Finder Alarm Help! |
Hello All, Since getting our '08 H200 we've had the most annoying problem that I would love to get some help rectifying Please! The issue - anytime the factory depth finder sees 30 feet or more of water - it keeps beeping. This is especially annoying and pretty much every time we use the boat we have to change it from "depth" to another setting. it's the generic depth finder thats been on both of my four winns . . . Does anyone have the manual, or know how to change this setting ? Thanks in advance! |

Have you tried Faria's website??? It's a Deep Water alarm. I had the same issue before I downloaded the manual. |

I got the same model and year, just fiddle with the mode button. I set mine to shallow warning at 4 foot to give me time to decide and react. Although I did hit a rock after 2 weeks of owning the boat. Depth went 20 to 9 to 1 foot in no time, that was before I set the shallow alarm. |

mine did this too... you have to change the settings... i don't have a manual for this, and never did, just hit the buttons until I got it working... i wish the depth gauge was not aftermarket... the back light on mine is red and doesn't match.. its an albatross around the neck... I really wish Four Winns would provide better docs on their aftermarket parts like this and especially the bimini's and towers they install.... its tough to find parts... |

Push the on/off/mode button and you will see code SH which is shallow water alarm....the arrow up or down to set to desired depth......you keep pushing mode and code DP appears which is deep water alarm setting...you can arrow up to 199 feet if desired. Once desired depth selected push on off again and its set. You can select 0 for either SH or DP and push onoffmode button and that kills alarm for that feature, respectively. Guess some want to avoid deep water so they can anchor...not sure. You can turn depthfinder off by holding on off for 4 seconds.....regardless the light will glow though.....I set shallow to 5 and deactivate deep alarm.....when towing boarders or skis I bump up the shallow alarm to 10. Play with it cuz it can save your bacon. |

Here is a link to the instruction manual for that gauge. Like others have said, the alarm is likely the deep water alarm. http://faria-instruments.com/site_manuals/IS0091_G_DS-manual.pdf |
