Have a 95' 190 Horizon what do i need to get the gas out of the tank. been sitting 2 years? Has a 351 ford jet drive thanks. Putting a new carb. on should i empty the tank before installing it? is it possible to drain tank with hose thru fueling opening or is there some kind of anti theft saftey lever in there?

a really cheap electric fuel pump, just don't go blowing yourself up. Don't connect it to a battery with duct tape and chewing gum. Stagger the connections.

Make sure the pump is rated for gas. The gasoline ones are not that cheap because of fumes and the impeller will not build up heat as in the diesel ones. Pick wisely or "BOOM".

You might get by dropping a full bottle of Startron in the tank and see if it will run. I would drop it in an let it sit overnight then try and start it .

My fuel was 2 years old as well and I wanted to drain it... I was advised that that would not be required due to the fuel seperator... For about 30 gallons of fuel I put in 1/2 quaret of fuel conditioner and 1/2 quart of octane boost, Ran it decent at 3/4 throttle for about an hour then topped up the tank and haven't had any issues...

I'm not saying it wouldn't be a good idea to get rid of the old but probably not necessary...

I was going to use the old fuel for the lawnmower and my mechanic said "son..now if that there fuel aint good enough for this big ol 351 EFI, what would you wanna go put it into a smaller, finikie, carburated motor" then he advised me on the additives...

knock on wood but 30-ish hours and 4 tanks of fuel so far this season and she seems to be good....
