Hi guys, first post, advance thanks for any help I get. My cousin has a FW Horizon 210, 1993, and we have found that with 5.0 EFI OMC Cobra package that you need a "special shift cable" that I cannot find anywhere. The part number is 987965. It's outer casing measures 79". I have contacted Doug Russell Marine in MA and they have a listing for that part number, but no specs on it.

I know that this setup was kind of experimental, but can it really be impossible to find this long cable anywhere???

Thanks for the link, but I don't think that's the right cable. It's 987665 and I am looking for 987965. I don't think it's long enough from the pic. I will email them and see.

Maybe try the Teleflex web site? http://www.teleflexmarine.com/products/controls-and-cables/control-cables-and-accessories/tfxtreme-cables/ Go for the Extreme cable if they have it - well worth the couple of extra bucks.
