I've got my eyes on a 2001 254 funship, 5.7 with Volvo DP- Hopefully, I can become a "true"member of this forum!!

Congrats!..........that 5.7 and DP will definitely put the "FUN" in funship..........Less than 2 months ago I bought a 2005 FS214 with that same motor/outdrive..........I've yet to be in smooth enough water to go WOT.......hopefully soon!

You will love that engine and drive setup I do! Very easy to control at the dock once you get used to bumping the throttle very lightly in and out of gear. I tried to drive one of my friends boat that doesn't have the DP and I was all over the place at the dock since I am so used to my boat behaving like a princess at the dock. Thanks all for the warm welcome... Unfortunately the 254 sold 3 hrs. before my appointment... So the same day I bought a 2002 214 Funship with the 5.0.. smaller, but it's mine.. now for my winter upgrades before next summer!!

I just bought a 1999 214 with the the 5.7/dual prop. . 1st boat for me,,can't wait til summer!!!

I agree! Been out cleaning and planning where to put stuff, just need warm weather...Congrats on your 214- I've been pretty content with mine so far...
