I have a 2007 244 funship. Somehow when somebody was opening the trash can door under the bar sink located in the bow the drain for the sink broke the bottom of the sink. The drain assembly popped out and took some of the sink with it. Instead of a 2.5" drain opening I now have a 3" opening. Talked to a fourwinns dealer who said that I need to put a new sink in. Does anyone know how these are installed? Bolt in? glue in?

I believe it's glued in from the top. To get behind and below it, remove the liners inside the changing room.

boatdrink,

When I bought my Funship last summer.......the sink bottom was broken just like yours is..........I ordered a new one from Four Winns..........cost was about $40...........there is a bulk head in my head compartment that is held in by a couple of trim screws.......removing those screws allowed me to get the bulk out and get under under the sink to remove the sinks tail piece............just like Sounder said.......the sink itself is silicone sealed to the hull of the boat..........just home depot variety caulking gun tube silicone.......after removing the old sink I scraped the silicone and then put a bead under the new sink and dropped it in place......I waited a day for it to dry to hook up the drain hose so it would not tug at the sink before the silicone cured up........

Here is the company that makes the sinks for Four Winns........http://ssicustomplastics.com/

I hope helps........

Thanks for the help. I'll order up a new sink. BTW, I spoke with a parts guy at a local fourwinns dealership who told me that they have had a problem with the sinks, Some have been so thin that they have been breaking when someone drops a glass into them. He said that mine was one of the better ones.

The drain area of the replacement sink that I bought was significantly thicker than the original one.......the original one was practically paper thin..........I do not believe I will have the same problem .........but, if I do have to buy a 3rd sink I will fiberglass the the back side of it to a thickness of about 1/4" before installing it.........
