I have a pair of blue LED bars that I want to add under my swim platform on my 224 1. where did you drill your hole for the wiring? I was thinking about running it the sony swim platform remote. 2. The LEDS seem very bright, Where should I place them? I was thinking under the swim ladder tray and the opposite storage tray. Any suggestions would be great |

I have 4 superbright blue LEDs on my 204, but they are mounted under the swim platform pointed down toward the water and outdrive. I'm gonna have to take some pics of it soon and post it on here... Are your bars waterproof? I would mount them under the swim platform... thats what most do. If you mount them in the storage and ladder trays you will just light up those compartments and I don't think that will look too hot. |

I think they are mirror light bars off emergency cars. I was planning on mounting them under the storage locker not in them. Would that be a good location? |

Sorry if this is obvious, but waterproof like on the roof of a car and waterproof like under a swim platform are two different things. First of all, sounds like they will be upside down. And, you are going to have them right next to water all the time. I'd suggest you make very sure they will work in a marine application. And, make sure you put a fuse in the line close to the power source, so if there is a short, your system is protected. |
