I added blue leds to the swim platform and Polks. I was very surprised to hear how much better the Polks were compared to the stock sony speakers. The LED's are sweet. I will unload some photos. |

How the heck did you get the seat backs off to replace your Sony's?? I bought some JBL's, but can't get the Sony's out without removing the glass/plastic mounting piece that holds speaker and cup holders. |

Where did you get your LED's for the swim platform and how much were they? I am considering getting some for my boat, but need some good suggestions to go from. Also, any advise on how to install them would be great. I am a little worried about holes in my hull. |

I'd like to see some pics of your amp installation also! I will say that I was able to replace the Sony speakers with thje Polks wihout removing any seat backs, but I was a bit of a contortion act... |

I am not the do it your self type so I have been talking to my audio delears who now carries the LED under water lights. He says I need 2 pairs mounted on each side of the outdrive. His brand is Shadow-Caster. The Shadow-Caster comes in 2 shades of blue, red, green and a white. The white and the bimini blue will be the brightest, fallowed by the Ultra blue (almost purple) green then red. The 10-LED units run $1100 for a pair installed, the 6-LED run $900 for a pair installed and the 4-LED run $825.00 for a pair installed. I am leaning toward the bimimi blue 10-LED. Has anyone done this? |

EvilZ -- I'm OK with contorting a bit. to get to the nuts on the bottom two speaker bolts did you reach up through the seat bottom or something? I couldn't figure out how to get to them from the top. |

I'll check, but if memory serves, I reached up from the back of the storage compartments. |

I was out on the boat last weekend and yes, I went up and behind the panel from the storage areas under the seats. |

Thanks -- following your previous post I checked that technique and it worked out well. Had to order 1/2" spacers to give needed depth to my JBL's, though. Just one of those "simple" projects gone all sideways. Thanks for the tip! |
