I have one of my docking lights out front down and was figuring to just replace them both I have called a dealer and they say like 300 for the pair is this a good deal? The dealer said they come complete with the outer base and the new seals. If you have them on your boat make sure they are not getting corroded because mine were. Joe from Miami  Thanks for any help you can send my way. I was also wondering if I could install some LED's on the front and make it look more modern also.

Can't you just replace the bulb instead of the whole assembly? |

Joe - Before you drop that kind of $$, I'd tell you that I find the docking lights to be of extremely limited value....In fact I cant think of a time that I've actually used them. I certainly understand that you would want everything working on your new boat, but in this case, personally I'd be inclined to leave them as-is.... Just my $0.02 Erik |

If you can figure out what brand and part number the lights are (perhaps someone here knows, I did not see any mfg. part numbers at fourwinns.net), you can find and order them from a standard parts supplier. Of course, this is assuming that the corrosion that you mentioned, requires that you replace the assemblies vs. just replacing bulbs. And ... Erik's comment is valid as well. However, if you find that they are valuable to you .... then do what you need. |

My docking lights point almost directly down at the water, not much use for docking..... |

The whole assembly inside was corroded right to the base of the bulb, the screws that held it in place was also corroded. I tried a kitchen bulb from my track lighting systemI'm with a friend. What's up? but it didn't work lol it wasn't a 12 volt system, I don't plan to go out at night at all for now since I am a beginner to the boating world but would really love to have everything working a 100% so If I decide I am over my head I can sell the boat turn-key with everything being perfect. So far I love the lifestyle and the freedom it provides from the normal day to day blah! The only thing I think will change will be I'm going to need a bigger boat not far in the future once I get comfortable with my 220ss. |

I went to K mart and got an LED solar yard light and attached it to the dock. It lets me know exactly where to aim for when it's dark. |

My baby is a trailer queen so if I do come in a bit late to put her on the trailer I would like to know I have a bit of light up front to make things easier.

I actually use mine for docking at night, in the dark. Plus they do look cool when docked at the cottage with the transom lights on as well. I was thinking of replacing mine with LED's thanks for the link. Next years project. I don't blame Joe for wanting to have them working for whatever reason. Greg |

If you are looking for these I have a pair came off from our 08 H260…… We replaced these with 2010 model, which is sleeker look… Very clean…..no corrosion…. I will let them go (pair) for $50 plus shipping… PM me if you like…  Here is the my post back in last year viewtopic.php?f=21&t=5572 |

I dock my trailer my boat in the dark alot and the lights arent much use to me. I use a little spot light instead that way I can get the light where I need it. It would be great to have everything working on your boat, but if you need to spend money on other things I would wait on spemding alot on those lights.....But thats just me ! |
