The engine is fine. The gauge shows pressure almost instantly and the dummy light goes out about as quick but thats buzzer last a little longer. Maybe it's 5 seconds or so, never timed it just took a guess. Not to mention, it beeps when the key is first turned on too. Friggen' stupid!

Anyway, it's annoying and I don't want to hear it at all. Anyone ever disconnect it?

Ah, well that's a better description! If your like me and always checking the gauges, then yeah I can see it being annoying. But the first time it sounds for real, you'll be glad its there, just sayin. I would guess it isn't that hard to disconnect, but I don't have one and I don't know if it is tied into other systems. I'll let the guys with more experience there chime in on that.

Anyways, lets see some more pics of this SD! How big is the cuddy? Does it have the enclosed head, or a porta-john under the cushion? Sink? Fridge?

Thanks for the level headed response. Seriously, how often does an engine, any engine, suddenly loose all oil pressure?
I can live without it.
Just a porta potti, cabinet and a table. That's it. This boat is more about the cockpit....

My 245 started out its life on Lake Fenton. It was purchased by the original owner at Skipper Buds there and kept at their marina for the first 12 years until we purchased it.

Nice boat btw.

2001 265 Sundowner owner here. The boat does seem more rare than a unicorn that farts glitter. That is until you drop in at the launch at Grand Haven and see about 15 of the damn things. LOL!

Yours is the first black graphic one I have seen and I LIKE that color combo. Ours is blue but we have the swim platform. I suggest adding it on for sure.

I have been fiddling around this year replacing about everything on the front of the motor. Fuel pump. Sea water pump. Water pump. Idler pulley. Tensioner pulley. Belt. Plugs, wires, rotor and cap. Going to do the gimbal before layup. I suggest using www.michiganmotorz.com for parts if you will be doing your own wrenching,. I have saved almost $800 over buying the parts at the dealer.

And the beeeeeeep you hear is a warning alarm. It is LOUD and sucks but you will get used to it.

Another tip I have learned after spending over $700 on that fuel pump assembly. When you turn the key on before starting the motor, let the pump prime. I actually cycle the key twice on first startup at the ramp now. Don't know if it helps but i guess it can't hurt.

Did you get camper canvas with it?

Here is ours.

I JUST finished this up tonight. A little LED lighting for when we are out after the sun goes down. We have a vacation in a couple of weekends. Hot Boat at Hardy Dam. We will be on the boat for two nights. The LEDs are just a kit off eBay. $30 for 16 feet of adhesive backed lights.

Enjoy your boat. Ours has been virtually trouble free.

Those LED's are sick! Can you post a link to the eBay seller that had those?

That's nice! I actually like the blue better, funny.
Thanks for the parts tip. I do all my own stuff so that'll be handy.

This is the exact kit I bought.

I wish I would have found these first. The price is a little high for my budget but man are they cool!

The install isn't as easy as plug and play. I did some drilling, wire fishing and a bunch of soldering to cut the strips in half to install them down both sides of the interior. But that is the type of thing I really enjoy doing so it was fun and the end result is pretty cool.

I have an idea for a new product for the boat that would be incredible for lighting up your boat at the dock, but have no idea how to get it to market. :( Always...
