When I got it home I raised the trailer tongue as high as the tongue jack would go and it has been sitting like that about a week.

Depends, is this the first you noticed it, is it fresh residue or does it look like its been there awhile? Could be leaking gasket, oil filter not tight, or from sloppy oil change. Could be from power steering pump. If it isn't too much residue, I would clean it out (rags and elbow grease), then hook up the muffs, let her run and observe...

Oh, and welcome to FW's...and the Sundowner!
