Find your owners manual - depending on the year of your boat, you may or may not be able to use that flush while the engine is running. On my 2002 Funship, there is a warning not to use this unless the engine is off. I only use it if my boat is in a slip in the water, otherwise I use the earmuffs to flush the entire system, including outdrive. |

Thanks guys for quick reply... Boat is 2004 model, take it I just hook up a hose pipe and let the fresh water run. No need to start engine? Usually i attach muffs and flush that way Promise to sort the chain bit out, should help your OCD ![]() |

There are several threads on this forum that you can search for but, as I recall, it depends on which side of the water pump the flush is connected to the system. On mine, I just connect the hose with the engine off and turn on the water (when I use it). Make sure to reinstall the cap when you're done! I think most folks end up just using the muffs instead.... |
