Find your owners manual - depending on the year of your boat, you may or may not be able to use that flush while the engine is running. On my 2002 Funship, there is a warning not to use this unless the engine is off. I only use it if my boat is in a slip in the water, otherwise I use the earmuffs to flush the entire system, including outdrive. |

Thanks guys for quick reply... Boat is 2004 model, take it I just hook up a hose pipe and let the fresh water run. No need to start engine? Usually i attach muffs and flush that way Promise to sort the chain bit out, should help your OCD

There are several threads on this forum that you can search for but, as I recall, it depends on which side of the water pump the flush is connected to the system. On mine, I just connect the hose with the engine off and turn on the water (when I use it). Make sure to reinstall the cap when you're done! I think most folks end up just using the muffs instead.... |
