That looks to be correct. And that private head looks nice, but takes a lot of room from the cabin.

I don't like the way the bow curves down so much at the front (like early Bayliner). Do you need mountain climbing ropes to go out and check your anchor?

Cuddy cabins are a triangle, you sleep on the longest plane. The head takes zero room away, and hence why most cuddies use that space for things like a wet bar.

Here's an awesome picture I made for non-cuddy owners. The shaded red area is a total waste of space, hence why it's always used for heads, wet bars, etc. Even on my 19.5ft Stingray Cuddy in that space I installed the TV and I could easily install a cabinet for the air conditioner that sticks out 13 inches without any interference.

In most cuddies of that LOA they can easily sleep 3 people, if you know what I mean

But not the S235. From the video walkthru the S235 cuddy is identical to the size of the cuddy on my 19ft Stingray. It seems they used all the extra feets for the bed out back.

Unfortunately, Chaparral dropped the 215 SSi as of 2011. But this boat was done right IMO for this size range. Even has the "Lou style" cockpit as an option. :wink:

Here's another thought, for a boat the size of that new S235 (well maybe it's a foot longer) look at the design of this Bayliner (yes I know but I am talking design and space utilization, not quality). This design is more practical than a cuddy, or the clorox bottle shaped cruisers that are popular today, much more interior space, ceiling height, nice airy feeling. I wish there were more designs like this, it is timeless and practical.

The cuddy door looks like it was made by ROMcorp. They use them on firetrucks and service trucks. I have installed a few of these. Little to no maintenance.

All the stainless reminds me of the late 80's sundowners. I agree the roll door is ugly, and it looks like a pain to bend down to open or close your door. I'll take the u shaped seating and blacked out door from my 99 over this. Isn't the new boat suppose to be one that really makes me want to upgrade? That Cobalt would be much more along the lines of what I would look for as a new boat buyer. The swim platform on the Four Winns looks great, as well as the walk through. The seat quality does look nice as well. That stainless sink screams jail, and the other stainless is overkill. I do love the multiple windows and sun-pads, but no port holes?! That's crazy!

A little less $'s than the Four Winns or the Cobalt. This one has windows, L-shaped seating, proper steps to the bow , spacious cuddy, "real" sink and... it's FAST !
Slightly longer than the S235, but closer to the good old 245 Sundowner. This is more like it IMO
