Bought the boat this year and immediately having gauge trouble. Trim works very erradic, low oil pressure alarm goes off constantly. Pulled cluster, read all forums to add ground wire, found someone put epoxy in large opening at rear of gauge housing, can't seperate motherboard from housing. Any suggestions?? Do they make a replacement?

Mine is still working well, except the trim (which I assume is a bad sender). But I have seen that Faria makes a replacement package for about $700 that converts to all dial gages, and includes a fitted curved woodgrain bezel, and plug-n-play wiring. Sold through Four Winns Dealers?

Sorry I could not find any link to it. I also notice that we cannot get to the part book on the Four Winns website anymore. I tried www.fourwinns.net/partbook, and www.fourwinns.net... both redirect to www.fourwinns.com main page

Hopefully somebody else has info on this.

Is that cluster only available at four winns dealers? I have ran into some issues with my VDO's. I was thinking of fabricating something myself, but the faria kit looks nice. When I was on that part locator, it only showed a thumbnail, but no part when I clicked it...

From what I can gather, they are lo longer availablle. The tool for making the instrument surround must be sitting around somewhere, unless they've scrapped it for the metal content.

"Great Lakes Skipper" often sell instrument panels with a full set of gauges quite cheaply ( I wish we could get them in the UK at those prices!). You'd just need to make a panel top fit them to

Yeah, they are pretty close to me as well. I think I'm going to go with the Faria Chesapeake white and blue gauges though, I really like the design. I just wish there was a perfect fit trim piece at a decent price where I wouldn't have to fab something up... Maybe I'll have to experiment around, however I'm thinking I'll just end up using wood and covering it in some 3M DiNoc carbon fiber I have laying around...

The cluster has to be repaired by RaPair Inc/CDI Electronics in Alabama. They will repair what is wrong and then add the ground wire. Search them online and you will find them, call them and they will tell you what to do. Last I knew it was around $150 plus shipping.

I know of one dealer in particular who stocks the repaired clusters, you can send them yours and they will send you a good one in return, but it is more expensive then you just sending yours in yourself.

$150 isn't too bad. I do like the look of the VDO cluster. Do they give you any warranty if they fix it?

I believe the warranty is lifetime after they fix it.
