I need to know where I can attach the tow line for a 4 man tube. The Ski attachment is small and specifically says for ski use only. I have two large U shaped lugs on the back of the swim deck. I also have the two lower lugs located near the Out drive that I use to secure the boat to the trailer. WHich is safe to use?

Thanks

Dominic

I think the 'ski only' warning for the hook is meant to avoid using it for towing another vessel or as a tie-down point or cleat.

But how heavy are the people you're going to tow on the float? Four little kids is one thing and the ski hook seems like it'd work fine. But four adults might be another matter.

I'm not sure I'd use the U-bolts because of the harsh tugs and jerks that would get caused by towing. They're not typically backed up all that solidly. If anything I'd go with using a y-shaped bridle between the rear cleats instead. They're backed up much more solidly inside the hull. Just make sure it's either rope that floats or has a float on it to keep it from getting into your props when you come to a stop.
