Post subject:  Correct Prop for my 205

As most of you would know buying a used boat is always an adventure. The previous owner to my 1989 205 sundowner took the stabilizer fin off of the lower unit and put what looks to be a way! over sized prop on the boat..... :?
I have purchased a stabilizer fin and now I am looking for the specs, what size prop should be on this boat..
the boat is a 5.8 liter four barrel Holley carb and an OMC out-drive...
I am thinking the prop should be a 14 or 14.25 diameter 21 pitch prop???

Don't know what came stock on yours but I am using a 14.5x19 3 blade alum which suits my needs pretty well. Good top-end and great hole shot.

Thanks^^^^
I am looking at that option. Or also the four blade prop, I have never used a four blade prop...

On my 98 205 5.0gl 220hp, I tried every prop combo and I settled on a 19pitch 4 blade, it got great holeshot and 45 mph top speed
