I have looked at both boats a bit and I really don't see many differences.
I would see that the Lib has a bigger engine and side exhaust pipes and different seating arrangement.
Is that all????

The Sundowner was their more normal cuddy, the Liberator was the all out sport boat. I wish they still made them, they were very stylish and nothing like a big block with that great rumble. Mechanically there really is not much difference if you are comparing boats of the same size, but it was more common to find the through the transom exhaust on the Lib, never saw that on a Sundowner...
