Hey guys just bought a 1995 195 Sundowner well not just but back in Dec. from a guy that had it sittting in a field. The seats for the boat were 70 miles away in a garage. Had the motor rebuilt. My problem is... I dont know how the seats go back in. ive put the seats in but i know the way i had them is wrong. ive searched and searched the internet. Any help or pointing me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

This may help, its a listing for that boat and the pics are pretty good. You could also go to the Four Winns site and look for the past product catalogs, which may show a pic of the interior. Which seats are you having issues with tho? Do you have back to back like the link above or captains?

Welcome to the forum! Always glad to see another Sundowner join up. What type of seating configuration did the boat come with? Captains chairs up front, or the back to back head knockers? Or you talking about the rear seating arrangment? U-Shaped or 2 jump seats on either side of the doghouse? Or is it the sunsport seating, basically one big bench along back?

Rule number one here, lets see some pics of your boat!

Thanks for the welcome. I do have the captains seats. One of the cushions for the area I'm having problems with is U shaped. I will definitely post some pics of my new baby here pretty soon.

Hurray! Another teal Sundowner. It should be a crime to leave a boat out uncovered tho. So you have the U-Shaped rear seats? What are you having a problem with? The seat pedestals (fiberglass bases)? Or the cushions? Mine has 5 cushions, 2 on each side and 1 for the middle engine cover. The seat bases fit snug up to the center engine cover (doghouse). They then bolt together with 3 nut/bolts on each side.

Yea the previous owner of this boat took zero care of her. And I knew when I bought it I was going to have to do some work to bring her back to life but for the price I stole it for its worth the headache. She was full of big ol country spiders and if you look by the cup holder on the left you ll see one of several wasp nest. I have one big U shaped cushion and a cushion that fits snugly in the U shaped cushion. Then I have two long [ shaped cushions I believe are back rests or something. To get a better idea of what Im working with I ll try and post some pics of the puzzle Im working with later this evening.

Sounds good, glad your bringing her back to life. You'll love the SD, I routinely take 5-7 people out on mine and we love it. I will look for some cockpit/seating pics I have at home tonight and post them up. However, I do believe we have different arrangements even tho our boats are only a year apart.

I think yours might go together different tho, being a SD 195 and a year older.

That looks really good. Unfortunately for me mines are different. My next project after I get everything running good & put together is to have the seats reupholstered. Hopefully by Memorial day..
