I have a 1999 225 Sundowner that I am installing XM in. I would like to flush mount the antenna on the bow, however that requires me to drop down the head liner in my cabin. Is there an easy way to do it, or should I just buy a VHF mount and mount the antenna off the side?

Thanks!

I know mine is glued to the ceiling, would be a real pia to tear down. Do you have the false wall/bulkhead at the front of your cuddy (usually where the speakers are mounted)? If so, only 4 screws hold it in place. You might be able to remove that and then just pull a small piece of the headliner down to run wires from antenna, behind bulkhead, and then along the bottom of starboard tray that runs the length of the cuddy to the bulkhead for the instrument panel.

Yeah I think I'm just going to mount it on my dash under the windshield.
