My son has an 88 215 Sundowner. Are you talking about the black
3 inch long rod attached to the glass? Ours broke off the end. I shortened it
and made an elongated hole with my drill press to make it like it should be.

Hi Everyone, Just purchased my first boat and had her out for the first time on Memorial Day. Went to open the passenger side cockpit side window and broke the broke the plastic latch off. Does anyone know where I could find a replacement? Thank you! |

Welcome, always glad to see another Sundowner join up! First, the rules: 1. Where ya boat at? 2. Specifics about your boat, year/engine/drive/color/options? 3. Pics of your boat? Now, to your problem, while I am not familiar with that specific type latch (post a pic of it), there are about half dozen guys here with your vintage SD. I am sure one or more will chime in soon. |

I've got a 1990 that is missing the passenger side latch. I've been searching for a replacement with no luck. I may try crafting one for myself. If I do and am successful I'll post a pic. Posting pictures on this Forum is not possible without an .img file type from what I can tell. Providing a link to a free website maker like Shutterfly.com does work. Thanks epic!  Coincidentally, just the other day I noticed a finely restored Formula tied at the dock with similar window latches that got me thinking. I was about to post the question here asking if Formula vent latch hardware was the same when I see your posted link!
