Hi Everyone...I have a 1998 245 Sundowner. I was wondering if anyone has removed the integrated cooler to get at the through hull drain fitting.
I want to replace the plastic through hull fitting with a stainless steel fitting. It hasn't broke yet but it's 16 years old and want to change it out before I get a suprise.

Haven't done this on my 1984 225 yet. Please post a few pics if you do complete the job. I keep checking my plastic fitting- 30 years old as far as I know! No obvious issues with mine, so I'm letting sleeping dogs lie for now.

I thought about just leaving it as it is still ok...but I have heard the stories of the plastic through hulls cracking/breaking due to age and sun and the outcome is usually not good.
I will post pics if/when I figure it out.
