Dude. You're posting about a boat engine that was discontinued because it doesn't work. That engine will break down. It will leave you stranded. Against 30 years of advice and knowledge in the marine industry you still insist to push forward in using a defective product that has a 100% failure rate. Don't get all sour because we're not standing behind your bad decision. I like how you're fixing an old boat that's cool, but you're endangering the lives of your friends and family using that engine and not converting it to a 4.3 v6.

"Dude" ? Is that term still in general use in the USA ? Certainly was last week in the pre ride section of Rockit in Universal Studios ! Am I too old now @ 59 do you think for theme park rides? That new ride vertical drop in Epcot was cool ( I don't do the upside down pirate ship one there anymore though)!

I thought it was a "Great buy!" You know, the boat that has a rotten floor, bad motor, who knows what else.

Yep...we coulda predicted the outcome, but can hope that the advice we give, which comes from the experiences we've had, helps others. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Oh well....

A number of my friends ask the same question, to them I'm the boat expert LOL. I tell em, well, just get the newest one you can, 3-5 years old max. Then I guilt em about the fact they'd never drive a beater car that was as old as the boat they are lookin at. Then they forget about it for a while. If I am feelin like having fun with them I send em the pix of my deck replacement. LOL. thats cures most.

My mistake; I meant Busch Gardens ! At 59 I am clearly too old, my memory is fading !The Cheetah ride there is very good also; incredible acceleration at the beginning from the linear induction motors they use !

The horse clearly knows it is saltwater and if he should even allow it to come in contact with his internals it will corrode from the inside out over the winter...unless of course his owner drains him and fills him with antifreeze for the....but it will certainly be too late to winterize at this point.

I would think that putting antifreeze in a horse would cause the unit to seize and not start up again. It might also warrant a visit from the ASPCA and many horse lovers would offer to disconnect your water pump, replace your impeller, and then flush you with antifreeze as well.
