Post subject: | Storage for cockpit table top & v-berth fill-in boards |
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to store the cockpit table top and the v-berth fill-in boards when not in use?? Thinking of rigging up some sort of system for the fill-in boards to be stored on either side of the porta potti, but the table top is too big to fit there. Only other option I can think of at this time is down the side of the cockpit seats (but that looks like crap and would not meet Vista Al's high standards). All input welcomed. |

the v-berth fill ins are stored on the port side of the porta potti in my 2004 model ( factory installed). they have two plastic guides fitted on the floor and 'roof', which keep them nesstled together and prevent movement. you can probably get those from FW parts ? I have found no where good for the table, it just sits on the v-bunk. |

Thanks for the reply. Any chance you could post a pic or 2 of these guides you are talking about. I checked the parts list for 1999 models, but nothing listed. I also checked 2004 (your year) but did not see anything clearly labelled for this application. |

i put the table in the case and store it under the big cushion in the v-berth with the top of the table facing up. usually the kids are in there and it doesnt seem to bother them when im out on the water. i also have the guilds for the fill ins on the side of the stow away head, will post a pic if i get to it before someone else does. |

The fill in boards on my '99 225 used to be stored next to the porta potti on the port side; I think, from memory, there were 2 fabric straps that used to clip together to hold them in place; it looked factory fitted. No guides fitted, but the boards were still pretty well secured in place. My boat had the sunsport seating, so I was lucky, the table would fit under the sunpad, on top of the folding engine cover. I put my fill ins up on the ledges inside the cuddy along with my table. I just stuff towels in there to secure them. Not exactly factory, but it works. |
