Hello to all,
I just bought a '86 Sundowner 235. The previous owner couldn't even tell me the exact model of the boat, so info from him as the new owner is not available.
I noticed that there is a 110V cord under the port side couch that looks to be coming from the fridge, will the fridge run off of 12V as well as 110V? I don't see anywhere to plug it in under the couch, so I assume I would have to run an extension cord to shore power?
The head is missing and I would like to replace it. Anyone know of a direct replacement model that fits well, or do I just have to measure and start looking?
The top is also in need of repair. Is a replacement available and if so, where sould I look, or do i take the boat and old top to a canvas shop (nearest one is 200 miles away) and have one made?
The boat is in overall good condition and on a trailer. 700hrs. Runs great. Has hydraulic trim tabs, Hummingbird fish finder, 2 downriggers, elect. winch on the trailer. Needs a little love, but should come around with mostly elbow grease. I paid $2K, seemed like a good deal...any input?
Thanks for any and all help, I'm sure I'll be back, Doug in Colorado

Hi, reddog. You may already have the following information. You didn't mention the year of your 235, or I would have helped you look up the info.

Four Winns Parts Catalog:

Past Catalogs, Specs and Manuals:

Good luck with your new boat.

Kevin

You're welcome. Although the parts catalog doesn't go back as far as 1986, the manuals do. I hope they're of help to you.

Kevin
