First of all, does anyone have the same problem? The d-shape black gasket gets kicked off by people walking thru the walk thru windshield. Along with this problem comes the misalignment of the walkthru window to the rest of the windshield? How does one go about readjusting this? I'm assuming, I have to loosen up the rest of the windshield to realign? Either way, it's causing water to run down the dash, onto the cabin door and find it's way into the cabin floor to form a nice puddle every time it rains!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Is it an anodised frame, or a painted one? They changed the design sometime between 1999 and 2004. My '99 225 Sundowner has an anodised frame, the 2004 245 I have is a painted one. If it's the painted type you have, I'lll; have a look at mine tomorrow ( 20:45 here at the moment, and it's dark!).

Graham,

I believe it is a painted one? a grey in color perhaps? I'm thinking Aluminum with a grey paint. Taking the shrinkwrap off the boat this weekend and will confirm.

I've just checked mine; there is no "D" shaped gasket. I remember having to play around with the seals on my '99 Sundowner, it had a couple of "piano" type hinges. The hinge on my current boat is made up of 2 aluminium extrusions that articulate, with a rectangular section seal at the "hinge" end that is compressed when the door is shut, There is also a seal on the lower edge of the door, plus a thin rubber seal on the starboard side.
