Docking Lights

I have a 2006 255 Sundowner without docking lights. I was looking under the Dash/Helm, and there was a wire attached to the terminal block labeled Docking Lights. Is the wiring already run to the front of the boat for these lights?

From what I understand the wiring is in place. Can you look in from your anchor locker and see any wiring for it?

I have looked in there, nothing. But maybe behind the mirror inside??

I believe FW uses a wiring harness - so if you find the harness that powers your bow lights - you can probably chase it around to find the pigtails for the docking lights.

You may have to remove the mirror to find it.

My 2004 245 Sundowner has a docking light switch on the dash but no dockings lights! The wiring is all there, there are some cables in the anchor locker for the docking lights.

Docking lights are generally useless lights in the front of the boat that the dealer charges someone huge amounts of money (profit) to have/install.

Ah, no docking lights fitted on the 205s, but the switch looks great

. But I will wire and use it for the spot lights used when crossing the gulf.
