 Post subject: extended swim platform

Would like to find a factory extended swim platform for a 1997 245 sundowner at a reasonable price..Anyone know of any good places?

Don't know of where to get one...but just make sure whoever installs it really seals the holes you have to make in transom well....you don't want water leaching into the wood core..

I bought one from four winns for my 225 sundowner. I installed no problems. Swim platforms.com wanted me to make a template for one. Not into that when it shows up and doesn't fit who's problem is that?

We just had one put on our 2002 245 sundowner,one from fourwinns the best 1350.00 dollars spent hands down. It added additional 19 inches to the back of the boat. When you step over the back seat you don't have to worry about steping off plus don't have any concerns with the prop anymore. We spend alot of time almost all of are time on the back of the boat and on the swim platform. Don't even hesitate. I think the one from fourwinns is alot better also.
