Looking to buy this boat, it is clean with no rot. Are these boats good for ocean use? Can it handle some rough water? How large is the gas tank, the engine is a 5.0, how much hp? Good on fuel? How fast? Also how what would this package weigh in at? My truck has the tow package and is rated at 7500#

Also the water pump is cracked from freeze up, four winn dealer said rest of engine was ok, so I take this as gospel? Is this pump the same as any automotive pump on a 5.0 (or close to the same idea) Any tips would be good, thank you for all the help!

mark1190 has a 1996 205, so he is the guy you need to talk to.

You can find more info and specs on the FW website.

Your truck will tow it with no problem.

Thank you very much for your help. So can I assume that all sundowner hulls are the same through the years? I am going to use it for 50/50 use- cruise and fish, not sure how I will be able to fish out of it though, I hope it will work alright. I have been looking for a boat to go up the coast of maine with and I think this will work well for that (hopping around the islands, maybe an offshore run if the boat would take it).

Thanks for any comments,
-John

Welcome to the Sundowner family. You won't regret having one. It is a versatile boat. We still get compliments on the dock, and it's now 10 years young. We're headed out today, one last run before fall sets in? (80 degrees and sunny in Portland, Or) If I were fishing off the boat, make sure the carpet is covered (if you have one for your floorbord). Otherwise it will carry the scent of the day's events for longer than you expected. Mark
