Whenever it rains, my transom locker gets wet. There is no weather stripping of any kind. Should there be? If not, has anyone found a solution? As of now, my transom locker is totally useless as it is always wet. Thanks, Kevin |

Kevin, None of the 3 transom lockers on my 245 Sundowner had any seals on them. The large one going actross the transom is unsuitable for seals and in fact FW fitted a drain in it. I have fitted rubber "P" profile seals to the other 2, but the gap between the perimeter of the lids and the lockers is quite variable and the lockers are still not rainwater tight. I just can't get the adjustment so that the seals have the same contact the all round the perimeter. In the end I fitted 2 drains to each lockers, which dump water into the "rain gutter" I had to fit at the rear of the engine compartment. Graham |

I had that same problem with my 225, there is no solution to it. We just left the ski rope and some of my sons swimming toys in there, knowing it would get wet. I'd always give it a good rinse out with fresh water when we had it at the house to prevent the build up of anything. |

Thank you both. I was thinking of using some type of weatherstripping to seal it, but in my heart I didn't think it would work. I guess I'll just use it to store my fenders. Thanks again, Kevin |
