Good luck, you are going to need it. I would suggest a local canvas shop is your best bet.

I don't think these FWs ever came with a factory bimini top but they did have the convertible top that attaches to the windshield frame (mine came it). You could also get the aft curtain and side windows for the convertible top. Honestly I hardly ever used it because here you need to stand up when driving much of the time for good visibility so I got a 46" tall 6 foot bimini and mounted it on slider rails on the inside coaming panels. I like the bimini because it gives great shade and you can see where you are going...I may eventually have an enclosure made (same idea, side windows and aft curtain) that's why I mounted the bimini frame on the inside of the windshield frame...

seeing as how the 89 205 Sundowner and my 88 200 Horizon have the same hull and similar windshields, I'd think the same size bimini would work well with the same mounting if you want to get a shop to make you the side windows and aft curtain...keep in mind though it won't be cheap....

Mine came with all sorts of different options for the top, but they are old and really hard to stretch over the snaps anymore. a lot of stitching is coming out as well. I would like to replace some of it to create a cover that can handle a snow load as my boat has to sit outside all winter. Last winter it just had a cover on it and when spring time came we had a swimming pool on wheels. I ended up just reaching down in and cutting a small hole in it and let it drain into the boat and out the drain. What a mess that was. :x

In short, if you find an online suplier please post up. I too have an 89 205 sundowner.

Hi, have you tried winnisquamarine located on Rt. 3 in Winnisquam, NH USA about 90 minutes North of Boston, Massachusetts.. I am from Australia and i have found them to be very good when ordering canvas covers for my Sundowner 245.
