Post subject:  Cleaning the bottom of my boat

I am new to boat ownership, first of all. I know this might be a silly question, but how do I clean the entire bottom of my boat where the bunks are? Also, I plan on having my boat docked for two weeks at a time. I live in Ohio (not at lake Erie), how often do I need to clean the bottom? Will algae growth really be that significant that I should even keep it docked without bottom paint? From what I have read, sounds like cleaning the bottom as soon as I take it out of the water, with a pressure washer is the ticket. Let me know if anyone has any special tricks to getting the "slime" off.

Thanks for your help!

When I was young and had a small boat I would put a block under the keel and use a hydraulic jack to raise the hull off the bunks for cleaning and waxing. Now that the boat is bigger and I am older I just do not worry about it. I figure I will be in Valhalla long before the boat hull wears out.
