Post subject:  WANTED - Woodgrain Steering Wheel Center

Hi all, I have a 2006 FW 180 Horizon. When i bought it (1 month ago) the seller had bought a new steering wheel from the 2006 Sundowner model (and models upwards) but was unable to get the center cap. (as in photos) The photo of one with the center bit is from a Sundowner (2006) in a brochure.

DOES ANY ONE HAVE ONE FOR SALE OR KNOW WHERE TO GET IT IN THE USA? WILL PAY FOR POSTAGE ETC. The dealers here in Oz are hopeless unless you are buying a new boat.

Thanks
Steve

The only place I have seen them is on ebay, a seller called great lakes skipper is selling the entire steering wheel with center section for $149.99.
You might want to contact them to see if they sell just the center section.

Glad to help. Were you able to get the center section from them, or did you have to buy the whole steering wheel assembly?

BTW, I have some family that lives south of you in Melbourne.

No reply as yet mate.

Yes Melbourne is great. We have a unit (investment) in Southbank in the city. Love Melbourne. Great place...

It might be worth getting in touch with the manufacturer of the wheel; "Quality Models International inc".

They may not show the centre, but they are a polyurethane processor and that part is for sure a polyurethane integral skin item ( the original wheel on my boat is that type), So I'm pretty sure they manufactured the centre as well !

From looking at the pic, how do you hook up the horn??

My cousin came on the boat one night. He asked me "Were are the headlights?" I told there "there are none" He asked "Why?" I said "Because there are no streets signs to read."

This is their reply,

Hello Steve,

I'm afraid we do not have just the center trim, and it isn't something we can order. Sorry.

If they were not so expensive here I would buy a whole wheel. Will search around.
Thanks all!
