1999 Vista 258--Volvo Penta 5.7 GSI--aftermarket spark plugs--any suggestions. I was told to use NGK TR5 standard or TR55IX Iridiums.

Why not just use the delco plugs or the champion it calls for?

The copper based plugs got replaced by the iridium plugs (for obvious reasons). That's not even a part cross reference, that's straight out of the Volvo/Mercruiser parts catalog. It was a General Motors decision.

MR43T's-- 21.00/8 at Fair Auto-----replace every year-done! Much cheaper than Iridium....
