Hi Folks, have any of you 328v owners ever checked out the LARSON cabrio 330 . I just looked at one and the headroom is good . I still can;t find a 328 v to look at within a couple hours drive. I did look at a 2000 298v on sunday and not fit 6'2'' guys unless . you like standing with your chin on your chest . I even took my shoes off . I am not sure about the whole cored hull thing Larson has ,(I heard FW is solid glass) and the stepped hull seams like it would be a PIA to trailer . Yes I Will be Trailering . Any comments? :|

We spent time looking at the Larson 330. One thing that really bugged me about that boat was the stupid small half circle step that leads from the helm area to aft seating area. I stepped off the corner of that half circle step once just viewing the boat. It might be just a matter of time before I spilled my beer due to that silly step. :)

Have you posted approximately where you live as a board member here with a 328 Vista just might be close to you? That way you can rule the 328 as either a contender or out as a choice for you.

Mike.

Yea, let people know where your at.. If we're close, maybe something could be set up to get you on someone's boat to look it over.. I had a Cabrio 290 with a stepped hull, and we loved the boat, and the trailering wasn't too bad.. Are trailer was built for the boat, so the back of the trailer had bunking that was higher than the front, to account for the step, only thing you had to do, was make sure that you got backed in far enough for the step to clear the back bunking when backing the boat off the trailer..

I've not been on a Larson 330, but just looking at the pictures, here is my take:

- older styling with the arch facing the rear of the boat
- cockpit seems to sit really high in the water
- as mentioned - why have a step while moving forward in cockpit
- port bench is not much use underway unless the person likes to sit backward, no cushion allowing forward facing (this is where my wife lives on our 328)
- cockpit dining table has less room than 328
- dining table down below, same thing, smaller, less seating
- twice as many steps to get down below due to high cockpit (4 vs 2)
- beam is 3" less than 328 (not much, but...)

One plus for all that extra height, the Larson has more headroom in the aft cabin, and looks like a bit more width as well.

Of course I might be a little biased... :D
