Ok so I have been looking for a garbage can for the galley. I have measured and tried some with no success. Any one find one that fits?

I'm guessing from your post you're looking for more garbage storage capacity?

We have a cabinet door to the right and under our galley sink that hinges open exposing a wire frame that houses a small plastic garbage bag. When this bag fills, out it goes to the garbage and a new bag starts out.

You must be wanting a larger garbage storage receptacle?

Mike.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I am looking for the garbage can that fits in the spot beside that galley sink. Every garbage can I have tried would not fit!

I'm going through the same thing with our 268. The ears on that keep the can from falling through the holder are broke off. I've searched and can't find anything to fit. I have the can with me at work today so I can epoxy the ears back on :( Don't know why FW would build it with one specific garbage can in mind. Let me know if you have any luck finding one acguy.

Check Grainger. They list 148 different rectangular trash cans.

Thanks Jnizi! I checked for my model but I didn't see one that has the same top. Mine has a oval top with tabs that fit into a perfectly routed oval wood plate under the step. I think I might have found one that is close...

This one looks close to mine, is this similar to what you're looking for? I just hate to order and have a $45 plastic garbage can laying around I don't want.

Hey Bliss,

Happy to look at what you have this weekend. Can't picture the trash can on a 268 at the moment. There is also McMaster Carr that we also order from. I agree that $45.00 for a trash can is crazy.
