I have a 298V and I keep mine stored under the salon settee wrapped in old sheets and rolled up around a 3' piece of foam noodle. Does the 328V not have storage under the salon settee?

Yep, the 328 has 3 compartment storage areas under the salon settee seats. The centre storage compartment is the larger of the three. The compartment closest to the aft cabin contains the air conditioning unit. The centre storage compartment because of the dinette table isn't the easiest of the three to get into simply because the dinette table is there.

Mike.

We don't have a 328 but we store ours under the seats in the cockpit. Our first Searay had a nice long canvas duffle bag to hold the canvas pieces, it was sturdy, neat and attractive even when not fully hidden. Maybe this would work under the open seats?

I recommend against storing loose in the cabin. We tried this on previous boats and found lots of spider were dragged into the cabin with the canvas. We left ours up all week and the spiders made their homes. Then we put the pieces below and the spiders were now in our bed.

Keep mine in the prior A/C compartment in the mid cabin, storred in a hockey equipment bag, works great to keep it all together

Have the same boat, the sides and back are stored under the V-berth bed. The compartment is about 8" deep and wide enough so you do not have to put many bends in the eisenglass.

We have a 2003 328 which I think is the same. Like you we usually don't have the canvas up with the exception of the bimini top. Each piece of canvas is individually rolled up and stored under the port side lounge in the bottom. To keep from scratching the windows, I put the canvas in the bottom, the eisenglass in the middle and then put the requisite coast guard pfd's and throwable on top of that. We've done that now for 9 years, no problems.

Our last boat, we also had a canvas bag made to store the pieces when not used. It is pretty rare that all the pieces are down for us. I guess we are pretty low maintenence. I just fold them up and put them on our bed. Never really thought about spiders and stuff.
