I have a strategy !

Going to add the "No Leak" stuff for rest of saison in actual 25w40 , then during winterization will change my oil for Valvoline MaxLife 20w50 that include an additive to precent leak seal. ;)

I don't know where you live, but in the UK and other EU countries there are rights for purchasers; If both your engines have failed rear seals at the same time , at what seem to be quite low engine hours, it suggests the products supplied by Volvo Penta were no "fit for purpose". VP will initially telll you any complaints must be handled by their dealers, However, press hard enough with your Country VP head office, with the risk to them of negative publicity, they have a lot of freedom to deal with you directly, with hopefully an aceptable financial resolution ! They will then pass the costs on to GM, as they built the engines originally.

This sounds appropriate for everyone having fuel pump issues on late model VP's.

The location seems to me to be the back of the oil pan gasket, or coming down from the rear main seal. Even the oil pan gasket would only tend to leak when the engine is running and oil is splashing about inside. When stopped, the 4-5 quarts of oil are contained in the oil pan below the level of the gasket.

Took the words right out of my mouth.
