was filling tank tonight and the tank was building up pressure, tank was venting but not fast enough for the flow.had to pump very slow. is there a check valve in vent hose or the fill hose or could there be a restriction somewhere?

My chap does this if you accidently get gas in the vent tube cause it overflowed (bad design of the integrated vent/fill combo). It's very NON EPA friendly how to fix the issue: Blow into the gas fill with your mouth hard and quick and move the **** out of the way. A good cup of fuel half a second later comes gushing out of the system about 3 feet out the back of the boat and usually clears up the clog in the vent tube. Continue filling as normal.

On the older boats with separate vents check to make sure the vent on the outside of the boat is not clogged. They are not easy to access from the inside...
