Does anyone have tips what to look for. The motor starts and shift into gear the motor revs but prop does not turn. Can spin prop and spins great. Thanks Jerry

What do you have...Volvo or Merc?
Are you sure the drive is really shifting into gear?
If its a Volvo you can take off the cover on the upper unit and see if the cable is actually moving the shift lever.
