Has anyone encountered problems with the circulation of air from the AC creating a strong moldy/mildewy smell in the cabin? We've been running it weekly all summer with no problems. There was about a 2-3 week span of time where we weren't at the boat and upon return and running the AC unit it made the cabin really smelly.

The sea water strainer is clean. The metal filter screen located to the right side of the unit is pretty much clean. (Meaning I vacuumed it but the unit is 14 years old).

The primary issue is the water drainage pan does not drain. I will get up to 1" to 1and 1/2" of staning water. I have wet vac'd it out several times this year but hadn't this time.

I've checked the AC end of the drain hose and it is clear but it clearly isn't draining.

I've read threads about rerouting the drainage hose to the shower sump pump by passing it under the stairs but I'm not clear on how to exactly do that. I do have an extra nozzle on my shower pump.

My drain pan doesn't drain all the way either so I put a little bleach in the pan every now and then.

You need to have the AC pan drain the water out, that is where the smell is coming from. Mine drains to the shower sump and never has any standing water, but I will occasionally will pour a bit of Liquid Mr Clean cleaner in it to help keep it clean and smelling fresh.
