I have a 2009 278v , the fresh water pump makes a click noise when switched on, sounds like a relay (clicks very fast for a bit), when you turn on a tap it stops. Wondering if anyone may know what is causing this

Thanks

Does it start making the noise again after turning the faucet back off? If not, it's probably just air/no prime for the pump, and when you open a faucet, it allows the air to get out, and the pump to prime and build pressure.

The noise has changed now. The water pump makes a single click every half hour or so
Thanks

Sounds like you may have a water leak

Water leak and maybe your battery voltage was low. When I had a house battery go south a month ago, the water pump would stay running--apparently there was not enough voltage to actuate the diaphram and solenoid to shut the pump off when the voltage got down to about 10.2 v or so. When it changed for the better had you run your boat or charged the batteries?
