I'm going to get rid of my carpets this year and go to a synthetic flooring for the cockpit deck including engine covers and swim platform. I'll list a few names I've found on the internet--Has anyone here used any of these companies and have any comments on them? Any of them already have patterns for this boat?
--NuTeak
--FlexiTeak
--PlasDeck
--Ameriteak

PS, my son installed NuTeak on his 285 Regal--he likes it and it looks great, but the install is a glue down procedure (not an adhesive backed procedure) and it is labor intensive for sure. That said, we all think it seems to be a great product.

Guess you could say I'm looking for a decent price and easy of installation--looks and customer service are important too of course.

Any comments on these products or others will be greatly appreciated

I started a similar thread in boating banter a few days back.

I am considering a product called Seadek for my swim platform.

They have a template for your swim platform, here is a link...

http://www.seadek.com/c-28-four-winns.aspx

I am finding it difficult to find info on the net about how people like some of these products after having them installed for a while.

Cheers

Thanks, Just found SeaDek too, last night. But the template they show on their website is for the swim platform--I want to do the cockpit and not the swim platform (I do a lot of grilling on the platform).
But, I'll call them all come Monday and see if any or all of them have cockpit templates or if I have to use one of the various template kits and make my own for a quote.

Thanks!

I just ordered some samples... I requested an online quote a while back and have not heard back. I hope this is just due to Holiday scheduling.

This might seem like it goes without saying, but... If you make a template, make sure you mark the top. Making a template could become frustrating, and simple details can be over looked.

I have a friend who has an entire set of upside down carpets in his garage for a Searay 290 SLX... So it does happen from time to time.
