Our 268 had the two fresh water tanks, the main one was starboard by the engine which fead all fresh water systems and held approx. 25 gallons, the other was port side under mid berth and was just for flushing the toilet it held less approx. 15 gallons. The waste holding tank was starboard under mid berth. two seperate fill locations on port side back. Does your toilet use fresh water? They probably just connected the two for more water storage, not a bad idea.

Hi GI Aus, I have a 2007 288 and love it. We have 1 freshwater tank centrally and a holding tank located underneath centrally. If you have another tank that sounds like it might have been fitted after. When we stay overnight the kids can easily drain the water tank, so can see a second one be very useful
