Haha, you guys are funny :)

I can proudly report that tonights four hour work shift resulted in electrics connected, the motor and propeller spins with no abnormal noises and the final bits and bobs are nearly there, the main event is making a shelf for the v-berth floor to rest on.

So...alive and kicking!

Oh, and for those who are not "in the know", never spin the motor fully on land, just quick touch to hear it engage and do not reverse the direction until it has settled.

Finally, the wife, underrstanding as she is, not to mention the kids...are wondering when they will see me for more than five minutes and in something else than dust-covered heavy work clothes. well, it was this project plus better electrics or a new boat...I played it well :)

Funny, my wife goes on and on about a new house too. Kinda like return of sorts for me always talking about new boat. What's up with that?

I think they all came from the same mold.. my wife says the same things.
I also get the "Why do you work so hard cleaning and working on the boat but you don't do anything on the house"
I usually just shrug my shoulders.
She has a short memory, just a few weeks ago I cleaned the garage...

Great progress! You are going to have to post a video of it in action.

Today the control got assembled and mounted. This is not an off the shelf as a) it wouldnt fit and b) I 'm not paying $250 for a wire and a joystick I could get at the electronics shop for a fifth of the money...however, it has no label/logo...

And then i started on the support for the v-berth flooring lid but ran out of time, will finish soon:

Note the amount of dust on the dash...that stuff is all over the boat :( makes me cry but I'm sure 3-4hrs hard work and it will be gone.

Project is completed! All done.

Outside is bottom painted:

Inside the hatch which is the v-berth floor is done, sorry for the out of focus. Lots of new storage space there:

The only visible trace is the edgr of the hatch:

Hopefully some of these photos may help someone else thinking of undertaking a similar venture.
