Hi , my forward remote spotlight stopped working suddenly while i was using it . The whole thing won' t operate anymore and the light won't lit either.
Would someone tell me where is the fuse for this thing? I ve been looking in the chain locker and at the helm station after removing my Raymarine multi fonction display navigation unit.
I have checked the 12 volts helm systems below the helm and the spotlight circuit breaker is normal.

Does the whole thing stops working if the main light on the searchlight is burned?

Thanks in advance,

Dan,
The same thing happened to mine after the guy washing my boat bumped it accidentally and it was left on for a long time, it melted the fuse holder and lost connection. On my 2008, there is an inline fuse holder behind the dash, I had to remove my Raymarine E80 display. Follow the wires coming from the spotlight switch. Hope this helps.

Well after further investigation , finally found the fuse holder into two separate pieces , after it actually melted!!! Bought a replacement (and better too) and everything is back to normal...

Thank you bobre for your post , got me to look further into it after I made a call at Four Winns yesterday , was told that there was no inline fuse , only the circuit breaker below the captain's seat!!!

Nice to have this forum...

Regards

Dan

To access it, you had to remove your chartplotter and it was on the right side?

Yes, you should be able to follow the wires off of the switch.

There is an inline fuse internal to the dash if I remember correctly. It should show up on the wiring diagram if you have the owners manual. My manual is on my boat or i would look it up for you to be sure. Good luck.
