I went custom to make some modifications, i.e., wider eisenglass thru my windshield, added a screen up front as well, smoked eisenglass, privacy curtains and also had a cockpit cover made. Looks freakin amazing.....

According to iFourwinns law, you are now obliged to post photos of said custom canvis work. Failure to comply will result in further requests from myself to see photos.

Like Tony said, GLS made most FW tops but not all. They apparently don't have templates for every year/configuration, as was the case w/ my '99 268 w/o arch. I think they made them during this time only for models w/ arches. Anyways, I got the following quote through my local FW dealer (I'm sure it would be similar to 248):

$490.20 for bimini/camper fabric
$195.00 for the windshield visor set
$258.00 for the bimini side curtain set
$266.00 for the camper aft curtain
$219.00 for the camper side curtain set
$45.00 freight charge
Approx 3 weeks to make, snaps included but not installed.

Greg

We just replaced the cockpit cover on our 245 SD through Four Winns before we sold it. It was only $400, much more reasonable than I thought it would be for a factory price. Although much cheaper than a complete camper canvas set, I'd price both Four Winns and a local canvas shop. Can't hurt to get multiple quotes if you're not in a hurry.
